I finally rounded up my pregnancy must-haves! These were all used consistently … even though I only knew I was pregnant for the later 20 weeks (if you’re new here check out how we found out I was pregnant here)
Prenatal Vitamins - The exact day we found out I was pregnant I started research and sent Clark out to pick up these vitamins. It’s packed full of vitamins and didn’t have such a horrible taste. Plus it has DHA for healthy brain development.
Burts Bees Mama Butter - I never got stretch marks (thanks to my mama’s genes for that) … BUT my skin was always dry. My MIL gifted me this and I ended up using it everywhere and still use it! It’s unscented and honestly makes your skin feel SO soft.
A good water bottle/cup - I was ALWAYS thirsty, I still am after birth while breastfeeding too. It’s like i can’t ever drink enough water…anyone else feel me on this?? I personally love this cup because I drink more water when I have a straw. It is spill-proof too and comes in a lot of different sizes/colors and patterns. Makes a perfect gift for a new mama in your life too!
Slippers - I LIVED in these slippers during pregnancy. Even my family loves to comment on my love for fuzzy slippers, but my feet were swollen the last few months constantly…so regular shoes were a no-go. These kept me comfy and let my feet have some space too :) These are a favorite too!
TUMS - I went through so many Tums bottles, even before I realized I was pregnant. Acid reflux hit me so hard I thought I had IBS or a serious medical condition at first. These were game changing. Specifically the smoothie kind though…They taste WAY better, trust me!
MY PILLOW - yes, the ‘my pillow guy’ won me over a few years back. But I used this over the normal pregnancy pillow I originally bought every night. It forms to your body and I loved that I could squish and move the filling around to where I wanted more support on my back/neck/belly. These are about the only pillows we have on our bed now. Low-waisted undies - I lived in these the last few month where my belly was too big for any of my normal undies to fit under it. I wore them a lot postpartum too as they are comfy and soft with great coverage for healing.
These joggers - I bought these toward the end as my growing belly grew out of any other pant options and I so wish I had purchased them earlier! They are so soft and I wore them almost every day postpartum too. The band folds over comfortably under the belly and material is stretchy without looking too much like PJs that you can’t wear them out in public. PLUS POCKETS!
These leggings - I wore these before pregnancy , during pregnancy almost up until week 38, and still to this day after. Specifically the high rise ones. The material is butter soft and stretches like a charm. I could buy only these leggings for life. I also gained some wonderful cellulite during my 40 weeks and these hide it better than all the ‘knockoffs’ I tried. They are BEYOND worth the pricier tag.
These maternity tops - I bought these and these in three different colors and wore them daily. They worked with nicer outfits, layered under sweaters or tucked into joggers. And a great price too!
This Stretchy Skirt - this was my go-to for any nicer outfit. I would through this on with a sweater over/graphic tee tied over the belly/shirt tucked in. It accented the bump in all the right places and is VERY comfy and stretchy. I wore it all the way up until the day I had Noah and still wear it after.
These maternity jeans - I wanted sooo bad to spend the money on these Paige Denim jeans but am glad I stopped myself. I found the ones shown here and won’t go back. The band felt so much better and though the material wasn’t as soft I don’t think it would have made the price tag worth it. I bought them in a few styles and bought my normal size!
